Sons and Daughters

children of God

Galatians 4:7 So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.

The wonder of redemption, His unearned Grace, and our adoption is made evident to the world by our freedom from the law of sin. It is the glorious result of His mercy; our deliverance from the power sin once had over us. The completeness of adoption into His everlasting love is profound. We are no longer slaves but heirs to treasures we cannot even imagine. While we live in these temporary tents we call our bodies, live in whatever we call our home and wear these clothes we complain fit too tight or lack style; we have a heavenly body we will be born into, our home is in His kingdom above and we are clothed in His righteousness! The very thought of which should stir in our hearts overflowing joy, gratitude and worship. It should inspire us to reach out to others and invite them to come! Come and see the Lord Jesus! Come and enter into the adoption through salvation! Also, we are no longer of this world but of His kingdom in Heaven and as citizens of a holy place, our conduct should exemplify holiness. The skeptic and critic should be confounded by the evidence or our regeneration in Him. We are a living testimony of our Father in heaven; we are His children, His heirs and no longer of this world.

As His sons and daughters, lets us praise and worship Him with thanksgiving in our hearts. He has rescued us from death and adopted us into eternal life! Let us live a life worthy of His adoption through the power of the Holy Spirit, giving glory and honor to Jesus!

Abba, Father
Hear the voices of Your sons and Your daughters
Abba, Father
Hear the praises that we bring
As You look upon this place
With all the angels from above
See the power of Your grace
See your Son is loved
Abba, Father
Hear the voices of Your sons and Your daughters
Abba, Father
Hear the praises that we bring
Hear us trying to express
All the love that fills our hearts
Knowing our lives safely rest
Securely in Your arms.~ Sherri Youngward

About athenammorris

Wife, mother, step-mother, and grandmother. I first came to the Lord in 1986. However, I backslid for a few years and rededicated my life to the Lord in 1990. Since then, my road through sanctification has been long and hard; mostly the result of my own rebellion. However in 2011, I finally I completely surrendered to His will and not my own and began to experience spiritual growth. My hope for this blog; people will be encouraged in their daily walk with the Lord. I'm a normal-joe-Christian just like every other Christian; struggling with the flesh, enduring trials, living life all with the intent of glorify and pleasing God. View all posts by athenammorris
