Young soldiers

Psalm 110:3 Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power, in holy garments; from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours.

Our young men and women are retreating to Green Valley for their summer Youth Camp. How fitting they should be studying “The Full Armor of God!” They are the dawn (womb) of our future requiring the strength (dew) of young soldiers!  The very real spiritual battle we fight together with them today may very well be the fight they battle alone tomorrow. Praise God the fun of summer camp is the cover for Spiritual Warfare Boot Camp! We, as the seasoned-saints MUST intercede for them now and throughout their spiritual training. Sober up my brothers and sisters! Our enemy the devil seeks to steal and destroy. He is relentless in his pursuit to ruin our youth for the service of the King. His attack upon them may be brazenly apparent or subtly deceptive. He takes his time and drips derision like a leaky faucet until their hearts are full of lies. Rise up, church! Fight the enemy on your knees in prayer! For our young spiritual soldiers must be ready for battle TODAY as much as tomorrow. Do not be fooled into believing they are too young for such heavy spiritual warfare! Do not be fooled into thinking their lack of experience should set them on the sidelines! They ARE experiencing serious warfare. There are NO sideliners on the spiritual battle field. We are coheirs in the Kingdom of God therefore we are fellow soldiers in service of His army. Let’s get on our knees in prayer and fight together with them and for them. When they return, be ready to encourage them as fellow soldiers in Christ Jesus

2 Timothy 2:1-4  You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him.

About athenammorris

Wife, mother, step-mother, and grandmother. I first came to the Lord in 1986. However, I backslid for a few years and rededicated my life to the Lord in 1990. Since then, my road through sanctification has been long and hard; mostly the result of my own rebellion. However in 2011, I finally I completely surrendered to His will and not my own and began to experience spiritual growth. My hope for this blog; people will be encouraged in their daily walk with the Lord. I'm a normal-joe-Christian just like every other Christian; struggling with the flesh, enduring trials, living life all with the intent of glorify and pleasing God. View all posts by athenammorris
