Psalm 19:1–2 The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork. Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.
Spring and summer seasons are lovely. Long days nurture foliage and cause us to bask in their beauty. Even an occasional rain burst does little to dampen our spirits. Instead, we are refreshed and glad for the fresh air and dewy grass. All of creation praises God in a language we have yet to master. Always pointing to our Creator! Always declaring His goodness, love and indefinable beauty! Yet, among all creation none is more beautiful than our Savior! Not one created molecule declares the whole of God’s glory, goodness, mercy, holiness or love like Jesus. “He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power.” (Hebrews 1:3a)
While nature clearly declares our Creator and testifies of His existence, we who call ourselves children of God bear the profound privilege of proclaiming Jesus Christ. Nature does not cease to manifest Him, so we should not cease to praise and declare the hope of salvation! Whether it is in evangelical pursuit or sending the saint to endeavor, we should all be in constant practice of declaring the Gospel to the entire world!
Romans 10:14–15 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
